Ceremonial cacao, a gift from the gods to the heart
For thousands of years, cacao has been harvested with love and deep respect, known as the food of the gods in ancient cultures. Originally, cacao was used in ceremonies and rituals such as weddings, rites of passage, and funerals. The beans were so valuable that they were used as currency, and the oldest traces of cacao residues in drinking vessels date back to 1500 BCE.
